Mission

SEHFA provides educational support to assist the growth of the hospital-based medical fitness industry in the 5 state regions of Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.  SEHFA plans and sponsors local meetings and workshops to promote networking between industry leaders and front line employees.  SEHFA provides members with access to the leaders in our field and access to valuable benchmark data for your operation.  In addition, SEHFA provides a quarterly newsletter, an interactive website, and annual conference and more.

 SEHFA & MFA Affiliation

Due to the growing medical fitness market, the Southeastern Hospital Health & Fitness Alliance (SEHFA) and the Medical Fitness Association (MFA) have entered into an agreement for SEHFA to serve as the sole southeastern affiliate of MFA.   This noteworthy agreement – designed to enhance member benefits for both organizations and to strengthen the medical fitness industry – was signed into effect during the 2003 SEHFA Annual Conference.  MFA, an association dedicated to medically based fitness, wellness, and preventative health facilities, is in the process of developing regional and state organizations.  SEHFA, and established organization, will offer guidance to other regional groups as they are developed.  Regional affiliations provide the opportunity for medical fitness centers to play a proactive role in community public education, public relations, and health policy.
